I have worked in out-of-hospital intensive care since 2008, as a respiratory therapist (DGP) since 2016 – and I am still on duty myself today. Since 2013 I have been a lecturer for various training providers and at congresses and conferences; until 2019 I held management roles in intensive care and project management. In 2019 I founded OPIC-Sim® in Berlin – a teaching and learning centre for out-of-hospital intensive care that I have been developing continuously ever since. What matters to me is bringing knowledge into practice: I take on the hands-on topics and the participants' questions and guide the group to well-founded shared insights. I am particularly fond of learning formats in which people practise on real devices and medical products in a realistic environment.
